Georg Breitwieser

Georg Breitwieser was born in 1890 in Langstadt near Dieburg, Germany. After his education as a glass painter he studied from 1908-10 at the studio of Adolf Beyer and Friedrich Wilhelm Kleukens in the artists’ colony Mathildenhöhe in Darmstadt.
From 1910-14 and again from 1919-21 he is the student of Emil Doepler and Emil Rudolf Weiß at the School of Arts of the Museum of Applied Arts in Berlin.
After this he worked as a painter and illustrator in Darmstadt. Georg Breitwieser is one of the artists who promoted the "Neue Sachlichkeit" from a very early point on.
